Meet Dr. Mirfendereski
Dr. Omid Mirfendereski is a pediatric dentist and San Jose native. He is passionate about the opportunity to teach children healthy habits that they could practice throughout their lives, as well as the opportunity to address conditions that have a significant impact on quality of life and self-esteem.

Dr. Omid Mirfendereski
Dr. Omid graduated summa cum laude from UCLA with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. He obtained his DDS degree from UCSF, where he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society upon graduation. During dental school, Dr. Omid was very active in organized dentistry, holding leadership positions in the local American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry chapter and other professional organizations. Dr. Omid was also very involved in community service, being an active member of the Children’s Health Hut, a group providing free oral screenings to children at community sites, as well as the Children’s Night Clinic, an after-hours clinic providing free dental care to children without insurance.
After dental school, Dr. Omid continued at UCSF for a three-year pediatric dentistry residency program, simultaneously completing a Master of Public Health degree through San Jose State University. His Master of Public Health fieldwork project involved planning a mobile dental program for Trinity County, a rural county in northern California. Upon graduating from residency, Dr. Omid was awarded the Ray Braham Award in recognition of his exceptional care for children with special healthcare needs.
Dr. Omid is excited to be practicing pediatric dentistry where he was born and raised, in the Bay Area. What he looks forward to most every day is interacting with patients and their family members and trying to leave a positive mark on their lives. Dr. Omid is fluent in Persian and conversational in Spanish and he enjoys spending time with family, hiking, reading, and making origami!
